Saturday's Mail

What a beautiful day today!
And I was able to spend an hour in the hammock my husband bought me for Christmas!
Enjoy the postcards! :)

A beautiful shot of Tampa Bay, Florida.

Festas da Cidade, a festival honoring a saint, in Portugal.

A subway map postcard from Munich, Germany.

A Cavallini card, with a vintage image.

This is my favorite!!!! I had made some art postcards a week or so ago (see my other blog for details) and mailed one to my sweet friend Kikie in Arizona. To thank me, he made this and sent it to me; he was working at the construction site at his church, and took a piece of cardboard, added some duct tape to stiffen it, then adhered part of the CAUTION tape. He wrote me a message on the back. This is probably one of the cleverest postcards I've ever received!!  :)

Handfull of Lovelies~

Here are cards from the last two days!

Great Beatles card, from Holland.

My second one of this postcard, the Chinese Year of the Dragon, from Taiwan.

From Holland; the sender says "How original - wooden shoes!" and that there are many in the shops, but all for tourists. Local people don't buy them, but she finds them really comfortable!

Riga, the capital city of Latvia!

A Virginia state card.

This is from Finland, the sender had mailed one to me earlier but it never arrived, so she kindly sent another. It's pretty!

Joy In The Mail

That's what it means to me to find personal mail in my mailbox!
And they are always interesting!

A vintage reprint of the Race Point Lighthouse in Provincetown, Massachusetts. I love the clothes line full of drying clothes!

This is grand! A wonderful scene full of varandas from Lisbon Portugal; with more drying clothes!

Sandugo Festival in the Philippines, a month long festival in commemoration of the 16th century peace treaty through a blood compact or "sandugo" between Datu Sikatuna, a Bohol Chieftain and Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legaspi.

Hotel Dieu-Cour d'Honneur in Beaune, France, sent from Germany.

The main square of Piacenza, Italy.

A Cavallini card sent from the US, hadn't seen this design before!

Monday, And Caught Up Again

Today is a Postal Holiday so, I am now caught up again with postcards I have received over the weekend. I've been struggling with flare ups of this illness and it makes it hard to get things done, but I'm always happy to receive postcards!

A Pixar postcard, this one is from The Adventures of Andre and Wally B.

A vintage card from Holland, with the addition of a bright pink flower!

From China, houses in Wuyuan; look at the flat baskets on poles, I think they must be drying grains of some sort - perhaps rice?

Another Postage Stamp postcard from England; this one shows art pottery of Elizabeth Fritsch and was issued on 13 October 1987.

The Gothic Cathedral in Krakow, Poland.

A wonderful artistic photo of an old boat in Russia, I really like it!

A sweet card from a 15 year old girl in Finland.

Yesterday's Mail, Today's Post

Oh well, with this chronic illness, I'm thankful it's not further behind!

Some dramatic ones today:

I guess it was inevitable that a state would use a tornado as a way to illustrate their state! And Oklahoma certainly gets their share of tornadoes!

I would not have put New Zealand together with rows of colorful tulips, but I learn things every day about different countries!

Aha! Today's Mail On Today's Post!

It's a miracle! :D

A Kentucky postcard actually sent from Michigan! Mint Julep anyone?

Lovely shot of Seattle Washington.

This postcard was made by the sender in Hong Kong of the Nan Lian Garden. But it took a while to get to me, as you can see, it went to Thailand first! It was mailed on 11 Sep, 2011, 115 days ago!

Multi view of New York city.

Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong, and the sender had some very kind words about my art. She viewed my art blog before sending me the card, how nice!

A vintage card of an irrigation ditch in California. Who'd have thought a ditch would have been so scenic?

Bergamo Italy - pretty place!
