Back In The Groove!

Trying to get back into the routine, so we'll start with the postcards which have been waiting patiently to have their turn in the sun:

The North facade of the Old Water Tower in Chicago IL, at Christmas. I think it's a great old building!

Lovely view of Lake Harriet, Minneapolis MN.

This card is from Poland with rubber boots on display. The sender also included a small coin from their country.

Festivities in honor of Saint-Jean, the protector of Porto City, Portugal.

From Russia, a painting by Swedish artist Karl Larson showing Christmas Eve as the children wait in anticipation to be allowed to come into the room where the Christmas decorations are. How sweet!

The Cathedral and Bell Tower of Erice, in Sicily.

Siberian Jay bird in Finland.

The UN Building in NY City.

A great old card depicting the Beatles at the launch of their Sgt. Pepper album.

This Beatle card was sent to me from China. On the back is printed "To usher in the Beatles new masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band, Brian Epstein hosted a small soiree for an elite retinue of media personnel at his home in London's Belgravia. The Beatles. fully decked in their current hippy regalia, were a bit worse for wear due to the ingestion of some illicit substance prior to the gathering, although they happily posed for the photographers, one of whom was a young American named Linda Eastman. If anything, it meant the transformation of John that evening. Evidently the lifestyle he was adopting was taking a considerable toll on him. May 19. 1967" If you look closely, you can see they are wearing the same clothes as in the photograph right above this one!

And one of the most famous album covers of all time!

Click on any photo you want to see closer.

I'd love for you to visit me at A Rabbit In The Garden.
