This Week's Bounty

It's been a rough week for me, so here are all the postcards I received, shown to you in one group!

A really great shot of bicycles in Holland!

A German artist, August Macke, Grande Promenade Claire (Big Bright Walk); I really like the colors!

One of my favorite Russian artists, Vitoria Kirdiy; I like her work because it is simple and happy. The translation on the back of the card reads "I wish you happiness; aromatic as a ripe cherry, and hot like the morning coffee". :)

The lovely Catholic Church in Minsk, Belarus.

One of the many rivers in Ohio, by the city of Toledo.

Wonderful view of Victoria Harbor, Hong Kong.

Aboriginal art from Canada. (It reminds me a lot of the art in Alaska, and Washington State)

Another Canadian artist, Lauren Harris - Mountain and Lake.

A view of Paris, sent from the US.

Marine Museum in Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada.

A windmill in Holland decorated for Christmas.

What a great map from Bulgaria!

This was a greeting card sent from Holland.

An early shot of the Beatles, back when they were young and happy, sent from Russia!

I'd love for you to visit me at my art blog, A Rabbit In The Garden.

Postcards from Monday

This is interesting - the sender from Poland tells me that this is a traditional Kashubian song or nuty and because at the time it was written there were many illiterates, it was written with images. She suggested I find it on Youtube and I did! Check out this video (there were several renditions, one with a young boy leading the singing). I'm afraid I can't understand a thing they are saying! How wonderful that so many people learn English as a second language! Most Americans can only speak English!

Loudermilk Mill, near Clarksville GA

Cathedral of the Holy Name of The Blessed Virgin Mary in Minsk, Belarus

Roman amphitheater ruins in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. This card was sent to me by my dear friend Fran, who ws in Plovdiv visiting her daughter and son in law and their new baby. The daughter Renee and her husband are missionaries to the area.
