Double Post, Number 2

Here is the second group of the day!

A Jetoy cat based on a Vermeer painting, from Holland.

Big Ben in London, England

A Santana house in Madeira, Portugal; farmers lived in the ground floor, and the attic was used to store farm products. Now it looks like a playhouse!

Vintage card from Holland, look up at the right hand corner, it has a stamp with Rebecca on it (Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm), that's the reason the sender posted it to me!

Multi-view card from Estonia.

A cool 1950 bicycle sent to me from Russia!

The propellers of the the Titanic (see how they dwarf the men below!)

I love this card from Germany!

Church of the St. Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, Belarus.

Berlin, German, sent from Russia.

Great photo of storks in Germany!

A scene from Ontario Canada; it says "Gone Fishing" - ahhh, I'd love to!

What a week.

Unfortunately, I have been very sick all week with a nasty head cold.
It's now Friday, and I made my way up to my studio to post these cards, else someone may think I have given up completely! Now I will make my way back down to my bed and rest.

Lovely arrangement of birch logs and flowers from Belarus.

Traditional Russian clothing by Russian artist, Nina Panasenko.

From the US, I guess this can apply to anyone!

Hersbruck, Germany; see the stork and nest on top?

This the 3rd one of this card I have received, but still a lovely picture of a lighthouse in Russia!

The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse being moved inland in 1999, in North Carolina, US.

A very fun postcard from Russia; this is from a series and I have one other card from this series.

Beautiful lighthouse and coastline from Norway.

Rotterdam, Holland

From Russia; the saying is translated as "Don't go to sleep, you might freeze!"

Too Tired to Sleep!

So I thought I'd try to catch up a bit. Just a couple of cards which came in Saturday.

A multi-view card from Poland. I'm not a fan of multi-views, because it's hard to see the pictures as clearly as one would like. For instance, I'd love to see the stork and its nest more clearly, as well as the old boats on the center 2nd row.

Now don't laugh, but this is an AD card from my eye doctor. I just thought it was artistic enough to include in my collection!

I think I over did it the last couple of days, and I cannot get to sleep. Which means a late day in tomorrow and probably feeling draggy. Ah, well, I've had this illness long enough to know that I will pay when I do the least little thing beyond the daily routine, but sometimes I just have to DO SOMETHING! So I guess I better not complain too much. This time it was because I had been able to go to church, and then we spent time in the afternoon with old friends who are missionaries and who happened to be in town. It was enjoyable and we hadn't spent time with them in many years. But, I did pay.
